On 5 and 6 June, the CORE Kickoff meeting finally took place in Delft. Most of the 70 project partners were present, with over 100 participants.
The first day took place in the college hall of the Technical University of Delft and was filled with presentations from the different stakeholders on what they expect from CORE: ESC, The Commission Services: REA, TAXUD, ENTR and MOVE, FloraHolland, BMT, TNO, Dutch Customs, WCO, UK Customs, P&G, DHL, Maersk and INTERPOL.
The expectations appeared to be pretty much aligned on strategic level, with many practical questions how to operationalize this.
Next morning, we started with an impressive excursion to the Flower Auction of FloraHolland in Naaldwijk, afterwards, we went to TNO premises in Delft to split up into a number of smaller parallel workshops on short term activities.
This marked the start of a fruitful and intensive collaboration for the coming four years.
